    A Simple relative value query

Hi I hope this is a simple problem to solve but it is one that has so far stumped me.

I would like to create a value in column relative to the value in another column. for example in column A I have a series of values ranging from 0 to 12. I would like the values in column B to be as follows

    -1.2 if a = 0
    -0.2 if a = 2
    0.5 if a = between 3 and 6
    0.75 if a is greater than 6

I’m using office 2007 is there a wizard that will help create formulas like this? Or do I need to create my own formula, and if so how should it be phrased.

    Thanks Adrian

Re: A Simple relative value query

    Hi Adrian,

    Welcome to the forum!

    Here's one method:

    =LOOKUP(A2,{0,2,3,6},{-1.2,-0.2,0.5,0.75})
    Cheers,
