    Unhappy Problems with .xld

    Hi,

I have a file .xld that was created in 2002. I open it and then, without making any change, I save it again but a warning message is shown saying something like this (the original is written in french):

The file may contains incompatible information with the text (separator : tabulation). Do you want to keep the file's format?

Then it says that if I click 'yes' the incompatibles functionalities will be lost.

And obviously that is the problem because after saving I cannot load the file correctly in the programm in use.

Does anyone knows what happens?? And why the format .xld is not in the list when I want to save a document in excel?

    Thank you!

    Ana

I'm not sure what version of Excel you are using, but probably not 2002. Maybe you could copy all the data from the 2002 version file into a newer version of Excel what use .xls, and not use the .xld extension.
