Hi,
I was wondering if its somehow possible to have a hyperlink formula display the file-icon as friendly name?
I'm not sure if this is possible with regular formulas or if a VBA is needed to get this result?

which file icon? You can insert an image into the worksheet and put a hyperlink on the image.
The file that is linked in the formula. So it could be any file.
Where A1 is C:\any-location\any-file.xxx

Don't think you can do that with formulas, not sure if this is possible even with VBA.
You can insert a picture as the icon, and add a hyperlink to the picture.
