    Re: Cannot paste

What are you pasting? Formulas or values? After pasting, what is the content of the cells you're not happy about? Where are these cells, at the end of the selection or in between?

You need to give a little more info, please.

I don't understand. Could you please use some punctuation? I can't quite see where one sentence ends and the next one starts. It all runs into one. Full stops were invented to avoid that kind of confusion. I'm trying to help you here, so please help me help you. Describe exactly what you do, and describe the outcome. I cannot see your sheet. I have asked a few questions above that you still have not answered.

    Re: Cannot paste

ok let me clear everything. I have one excel sheet in which i have 10,000 plus rows of values. When i filter the column and select which item i need..for example: there are 10 rows.I filter it and select 1 and 10 row respectively. Then i select these both rows and make copy (Ctlr + C) and paste (Ctlr + V) somewhere else in the same sheet.(different row). It should show me only these two rows not all the row (1 to 10). problem is its showing me all rows from 1 to 10 which i don't want like this. I want only dose two row which is supposed to be like this. I hope this time u will understand.

    Re: Cannot paste

so what is the problem? Excel not pasting all the cells you copied or Excel pasting more than what you copied? Your last post is contradicting your first.

Can you please mock up a data sample with a few dozen rows, provide a Before and After example and explain what you want to do?

    Re: Cannot paste

Ok apparently it is different in excel 2007 try
    Excel Options /Advanced
    go to editing options
    and then uncheck
“Extend data range formats and formulas”
if that doesnt work try adding the select visible cells button to your qat(quick access tool bar) by right clicking select customize quick access tool bar
in the left hand pane look for the select visible cells option and select it and click add
then when filter is on click the icon and try copy/paste
