Cut and Paste macro

    I need some much needed help. I have never made a macro before but was told that I could cut and paste this into excel to find and replace catagory headings in a large product list that will then be imported into a website. How do I do this exactly and would this formula work?

    Thanks - Brent

    Hi Brent, welcome to the forum.

    You just registered and agreed to follow the Forum Rules...then broke one of the main ones on your first post. Oops.

    GO back and edit the original post, click GO ADVANCED, highlight all the "code" then click on the # icon to wrap the code in
tags.

    ==============

    Then explain in words what your macro is supposed to do, which I think is:

    Replace all the content of column B with existing categories to newly worded categories. Is that correct? If so, we can do that much simpler without looping one row at a time.

    Fix that post above, then use the paperclip icon to post up a sample workbook and we can show you some fast ways.

    Always put your code between code tags.
your code here
Hi Smittymagic,

    welcome to the forum. However, your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code. Posting code without them makes your code hard to read and difficult to be copied for testing. Highlight your code and click the # at the top of your post window. For more information about these and other tags, found here

    I'll add the code tags for you this time, but I'll expect you to use them from now on.

    regards

    Thanks, Teylyn.

    OK, Smitty, to keep this simple, create a Sheet2 and put the original categories in column A. Put the replacement categories in column B.

    Then run this macro on your data sheet...
