    +/- Cell value affects other cells

    I'm not sure what this is called or Google would be more help. haha.

    I'm working on an hardware budget excel sheet for my group.

    Right now, I have a hardware and software section.

    If I increase the number of say Mac laptops, I would like to increase the number of certain software packages as well.

    Any help?

    If you have a cell that holds the quantity of Mac Laptops (M1) and another cell that is supposed to hold an equal number of software packages (S1), then put this in S1:

    =M1

    Now any changes in M1 will change the value of S1, too.
