Problems emailing linked documents

Having a problem with my links to another workbook. In the workbook I'm working out of I have a link to a workbook on our network drive. When I try to email my workbook to another person through outlook, somehow the links are magically changed from R:/common to my hard drive C:/common. And then the links no longer work. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Which drive contains the Activeworkbook when you run the macro to attach the file, your local C:\ folder or the network folder?
