Can't select hyperlink

I'm using a trade journal spreadsheet.

In the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvVSf6qa3L4 you see the guy making a hyperlink. I'm trying to do the same but my hyperlink option is not highlighted and can't be selected. not by right clicking nor by going to insert.

I'm using 2003 on vista ultimate

if i open a new excel document the hyperlink functions is working.

Can anyone help?

You say when you open a new spreadsheet the hyperlink options are working. So that means the functionality is only greyed out on a specific workbook? Check if the worksheet is protected. Can you enter any other data in the sheet?

Thank you for your response.

I can do everything he is doing in the video except creating a hyperlink. Under file permission i checked the unrestricted access is selected.

You can post the file here. You can upload a file by clicking "Go Advanced" below the Quick Reply box and then the paper clip icon.
Just make sure you replace all confidential data with dummy data or remove it before you post the file.

dankje, glad you found a solution, but please don't quote whole posts. It's just clutter. In fact, only quote when you are referring to something particular that is not in the previous post, and then only quote the pertinent lines.
