    Password protecting a link

    Hi,

I am not sure if this is possible but i thought i would ask the question.

Is it possible to add a passord to a link e.g:

i have a workbook with a load of hyperlinks and they are all linking/working fine but there is one link that goes to some info that i would like protecting so i would like when the link is clicked it asks for a password before the other page is displayed.... is this possible

i know i could put the info i want protecting on another workbook and protect the workbook but this excel workbook is a centrlised info sheet and i would like to keep it all together

    Regards,
    JDobbsy

You could put the link in a specific row or column, hide that row or column then protect the sheet.

Or you could hide the destination sheet then proect the workbook structure - probably more effective.

No inbuilt Excel security is particularly robust.

I have never really thought of this but it would be really good if this was possible
