Hyperlink problem.

When I create a hyperlink I point to, for example, C:\Users\owner\Folder\File\ then I create the hyperlink. It works fine. Then I turn the computer off and restart it the next day and the hyperlinks that I created don't work. When I go to edit the hyperlinks I see them not pointing where I told them to but to C:\Users\owner\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\Folder\File

How does this happen? What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried the hyperlink function instead?

Like....
=HYPERLINK(C:\Users\owner\Folder\File\XXXX.XXX,"Link to somewhere")
