    #VALUE! error when adding time

    Hi All,

I'm getting a #VALUE! error when adding time in the thousands of hours.

    Ex: 807:52:37 + 1,751:21:18 = #VALUE!

I've tried formatting different to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

Are you summing cells with time values or putting those values directly in the formula?

Note that Excel wont' recognise any single time value greater than 9999:99:99 (although it can produce a total greater than that if summing amounts that are all under 10,000 hours)

    Hi,

Try loosing the thousand separator comma.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

"Tomorrow I'm going to be famous. All I need is a tennis racket and a hat".
