No grid lines for imported Lotus file

I am converting my old Lotus 123 files into Excel 2007. When I open the excel file, my grid lines disappeared. I have tried the settings under Excel Options, Advanced, Display Options to no prevail. Any help is appreciated.

Hi John, welcome to the forum.

Try selecting the entire sheet and setting the background fill color to "No Fill". My guess is that it's coming across with a white background.

    hi Paul,

That did it. Yes, you are correct. The gridlines were coming in as the color white. Thanks for the assistance on the fix.

Other questions: Is there a way to fix this on a global setting? without having to go to each sheet and highlighting the affected area?

Also, my Lotus 123 spreadsheets with multiple tabs ends up with multiple Excel workbooks. When I close the converted file, I have to click all of them closed individually.

Thanks for your expertise and patience. This is a great forum. Thanks again.

you could just select all sheets and adjust the formatting all at once
