Question Recording One Value in Between Recaluclations

I am using the random number generator in excel. I have numbers that correspond to these random numbers, and I need the greatest of these corresponding numbers each time I recalculate with new random numbers. I can get the number I need into an isolated cell. However, I cannot find out how to export that number to another worksheet (or just another column on this worksheet) and start a list so that I can pull and keep that number from each recalculation. I know that I could copy and paste, however I need to do this thousands of times and I know there must be a more efficient way. It is probably a very easy command thta I just dont know exists. Any Ideas?

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Thank you for the reply dave. Attached is a dummy workbook similar to what I have and what I need. I need to record the number in cell B2, and then hit F9 to recalculate the random numbers, the number in B2 for each iteration would ideally be compiled into a list (like the one seen in column D) on the same worksheet or a different one if that is easier to do. Copy and paste is not efficient enough because I will be recalculating thousands of times. Thank you for the help.
