Retrieve format text from Cell

In the above table, I want to retrieve the Unit of Measurement (last three characters) alone from the Qty Column to another column. For instance, "Nos" for the first item and "Mtr" for the second item. Now, the catch is that the sheet is formatted to show the unit of measurement. So the Qty column actually contains only the numbers (3 and 5) but it is formatted to show as 3 Nos and 5 Mtr.

Is there anyone who can help? I hope I was clear enough.
