    Address Formatting Problems

    Hello all,
I am importing an address book into Excel 2003. The file format is .csv. It has separate columns for first name, last name, which works out well. However, in the address column, the actual addresses do not follow standard form. The addresses look like this:

1234 Oak Street, Centerville, California 12345

    when they should look like:

    1234 Oak Street
    Centerville, California 12345

There is no separate column for city or state, just one address column. I am trying to create mailing labels for these addresses, but they are all on one line.

What can I do to fix the addresses? I was thinking it might have to do with inserting newlines after the first comma and deleting that comma. But how would I apply this to the entire column?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.

    In a convenient column,

=SUBSTITUTE(A1, ",", CHAR(10), 1) and format the cell to wrap text.
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
