    Returning values

I am trying to return values if a certain variable is met. Please see the enclosed spreadsheet.

What I am trying to do is return the value on row 4, column C -I, into column J if the value is greater than 20 in columns C - I.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Returning values

Using your posted workbook, I see the data but I'm not sure what values you want returned and where you want them.

Can you post some sample results...embedded in a reply post would be acceptable.

    Re: Returning values

In the example below see Bobby Abreu and Garret Atkins (the first and last names listed. Abreu had over 20 games in OF therefore OF appears under the column for Eligible. When looking at Atkins he had over 20 games at both 1B and 3B therefore 1B,3B appears under the column for Eligible.

Any help is appreciated, and I hope the chart below is what you were looking for.

    Abreu, Bobby LAA 0 0 0 0 0 136 14 OF

    Re: Returning values

Without resorting to a custom function, try this in your sample workbook:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Copy that formula down as far as you need.

    Does that help?

    Re: Returning values

That worked perfect. Now for me to figure out exactly what you did.

    Thanks a ton.

I just want to say thank you to everyone on this site that has ever helped me. I don't do a lot complicated stuff on Excel, but anytime I run into something that I can't figure out I know exactly where to go...here. Thanks again for all the help.
