Excel 2007 : Divide by zero

Good Morning all,

I have constructed a spreadsheet to record fuel usage and some other associated data.
I am getting the error #div/0

I understand why this is happening and it is only an error until i have entered the working data.This error is shown in the attached, cells K6-K11 & L6-L11.

Is there any way i can stop this error from showing? it does not affect functionality, just looks unsightly

The easiest way is to check for a zero divisor:

If it is zero then the cell shows blank

or in 2007 use the IFERROR( ) function

I like it - a lot. I am a bit out of my depth with excel period as my secondary school education left me quite unprepared. Despite being self taught, i am now considered the office it expert :-0

I do like the way 2007 works and with a little help from people like yourself, I do manage to do more than just get by.
