Windows Excel and Macintosh Excel compatebility issue

Hi all
recently I prepared a blank template for my boss, but he couldn't use it, because all ComboBoxes became picture. He's running Mac (don't know exatly which version).
I used many ComBoxes, which not working in "Mac-Excel". Please see screenshot of excel file.

So I'd like to know the reason, if it's possible of course...

They never used to like each other and many times years ago there were moans

Back then you need a Mac converter software i cant remember teh name of it, sorry

Thats what you need to to do or all work with PC or Mac's
