I work in a company where they have the majority of users on excel 2003 but some on 2007. I know, its annoying. Anyway, I am on 2003 and distribute reports created in 2003 which initially used a GETPIVOTDATA formula to populate the fancy looking front page. However, the 2007 users get errors when they open the report. I tried to change the formulat to a VLOOKUP & MATCH but the same error occurs.
Any ideas on whats going on or what I can do to stop this?

Can you please upload a sample file after removing any sensitive data?
Is it possible that the 2007 users are changing the pivot table so that the details requested in the GetPivotData function are hidden?
If a 2007 user opens & saves a copy of the file & then a 2003 user opens the copied file, does the formula work?
Are the pivot tables in the same file as the GetPivotData functions?
It sounds like they are in the same file, but if they are not, you may need to get the 2007 users to change their update settings via [alt + t + o] - Trust Center - External Content.)
