    Value Lookup

Hey, I've been asked by my boss to create a more efficient "attendance sheet" and I'm having some problems

I'm looking for a function to look up a value from other worksheets after selecting a person's name from a drop down list. Here is an attachment to further illustrate what I'm looking for

If someone could help me out here, I'd really appreciate it

    Thank you for your time,
    Bob

    Re: Value Lookup

read the value from the other sheet next to the respective 'person' and then use v lookup?

thank you, although that's not exactly what i was looking for. I should have been more descriptive, but i think this attachment will be thorough enough

    Thank you,

    Re: Value Lookup

    Try:

    =INDIRECT("'"&C5&"'!D5")
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: Value Lookup

    =INDIRECT("'"&$C$5&"'!"&ADDRESS(ROW(D7),COLUMN(D7))) in D10

copied across the matrix. Reformat date cells as dates.
