Extract text from hyperlink destination

Have a column (a) with about 1000 rows of hyperlinks.
I want to extract the data from the hyperlinks. (not the link itself but the text from the desination where the link takes you.) A macro would be fantastic, my VB is still shaky. I thought i saw a function to perform this task but cant fin it now, any help woould be appreciated.

It would helop if you could post an example workbook with a few examples of the links and the results you expect

ARE ALL HYPYERLINKS IN COLUMN A
IF WE CLICK ON THEM TO GO TO A SPECIFIC PAGE ON THE NET AND DISPLAY TEXT.

CAN I EXTRACT THE TEXT FROM THE NET WITH A MACRO OR FUNCTION WITH OUT HAVING TO GO TO EACH ONE AND CUTTING AND PASTE INFO,

Have a look at using a web query.

xl2003, Data > Import External Data > New Web Query

xl2007, Data > Get External Data > From Web

If that text is of any use the you can look to creating a macro to process many addresses.
