Hi all - I was just wodering for those people who use Excel all day, every day - what size monitor do you use?
I'm thinking about upgrading my 17" to a 23" monitor so I can see more cells without zooming
Anyone currently use a 23" for Excel?

I spend most of the day using Excel on a 17, but I do spend some time using it on a 23 and it is more enjoyable. Setting your screen resolution as high as you can helps as well.

Widescreen 22". Wish it was larger. You can always set the screen to a higher resolution to see more of the worksheet - but this has limits, of course.

17" @ 1920 x 1200 (in XL terms A:AB @ 100% assuming default col. width)
Someone once said to me to think of resolution like RAM - buy the best you can afford - it's generally worth the investment.

The higher res. certainly cost a few pennies more than normal but as I say I was told it would be worth it and I confess to me it was/is.
I would say you need decent eye sight though - I know that sounds odd but the 1920x1200 is optimal setting and really anything lower and it's not all that great, however, at such a high res. on just 17" things are small-ish.
My wife dislikes it for that reason (added bonus and further justifying the expenditure)
I have the Dell XPS M1530 ... previously I've used ThinkPads which I say I probably preferred (even though you used to have create your own Windows key...).
That being said I have no complains of this (as yet)
I love the thinkpads, I've had two from my past two jobs - one was an average R-series then I had a mid-range T-series.
Very masculine, strong, tidy....
Now I have got a Dell D620 from work, which does not feel as nice as my beloved T-series (and doesn't support 17" at higher resolutions)
I have two 19" at work, but the graphics card with the dual monitor driver does not do more than 1280x1024I like the concept of two monitors, though because I often work with two applications at the same time.

though I am basking in the glory of the 1920 x 1200 sadly it's not how big it is that counts... and yes I very much miss my old T42/T43's - both were bashed around many an airport and never so much as a scratch
I have 38 cm laptop (1400x1050) and extended desktop on 43 cm monitor (1280x1024).
Good thing is that I don't need better for excel since I don't work in it
