Excel-Powerpoint linkage issue

I'm trying to get a table in Excel linked into PPT, but no matter what I do, I can't get the table to play nice once it's in Excel.

I've included two files that illustrate the problem. Ideally, I'd like to be able to link the table from Excel into PPT, but this gives the worst of the three results.

Any ideas???

The data is not in an Excel Table its just in a range of cells, so.....

Select the range of cells you want to link
Click Copy .
go to Microsoft PowerPoint
Click the slide where you want to insert the linked copy of worksheet cells (range)
On the Edit menu -- click Paste Special
Click Paste link

Done!
