making a spreadsheet for student coursework making

i am making a spread sheet table to auto decide whether a piece of coursework is late and who to decide how much penalty to allocate

i have got the total mar in percentage

the submission date for each student

    deadline date

each student is allowed up to 3 weeks to be late each week being a 10% penalty and a total mark of 0 after the 3rd week.

i can email you what i have come up with so far any advice would be welcome

    thank you

that's the one. the students have 3 weeks after that to hand work in with a 10% penalty on each late week and there is a limit of 3 weeks after which a mark of 0 is applied.

Ok so now add a column and use an IF function to decide the days overdue and apply the penalty

i have added a new column that contains the difference between the two dates

i need to know who i would go about using an if function to add the amount of penalty into the next column automatically.

Assuming late % to be calculated in G12 onwards

    formatted as %

    not entirely sure I followed the date requirements - you may want {0,1,8,15,22} rather than {0,7,14,21,28}

Change values in B2:B5 such that they read

    0.0
    39.5
    59.5
    79.5
    Then

Please Login or Register to view this content.
If you opt to store B2:B5 as % values then adjust the MATCH accordingly (ie remove the 100* adjustment)
