Smile Columns Labeled as #'s instead of Letters

I just noticed that a spreadsheet I'm in - in 2007 version - has #'s listed across the top (for the Column Names) instead of letters.

This is making it difficult for me to build formulas

Does anyone know how to change this back? I have no idea how or when it switched to #'s.

    Thanks so much!!

Go into Options (either via Office icon -> Excel Options or via ALT + T -> O) -- go to Formulas and uncheck R1C1 reference style.
