    Confirm True in Logical Test using Find

    HI all,

    I'm trying to use the following formula to verify if the "," is within a cell.
    Something is not right, because even for True conditions, I'm getting a False
    return.
    I think my True logical test is not written right.
    Can someone please verify and provide the logical test for True part of the function.

    FIND doesn'r return a logical value -- it returns either a number or a #VALUE! error. So test for ISNUMBER()

    Hi,

    FIND produces a number, not a boolean result. This should work for you:

    Note also that if you have the comma selected as a thousand separator, excel may well ignore it if your data is entirely numerical.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

    Thank You to, Sweep and SHG.

    The IF(ISNUMBER works just fine.
