Automatically delete cell contents if 1 cell deleted

I maintain a daily roster of names, work assignments, shift times, etc. Each person's data is in a row.

I need to be able to manually delete the cell contents marked "Last Name" and certain other individual cells in that row will clear their contents automatically.

Other cells in that same row will retain their contents.

Of course, a simple formula in the cells to be cleared would be over-written as data is entered...

    Hi,

You'll need to resort to VBA and a macro. Assuming your Last Name column is say column B, and you want to delete the contents of say columns G & J on the same row as a Last Name deletion, then

Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Excel.Range)
If Not Intersect (Target, Range("B:B") Is Nothing Then

    Range("G" & Activecell.Row ",J" & ActiveCell.Row).ClearContents

    End If

Expand the instruction inside the If statement to include other columns.

    HTH

    End Sub
