    Interactive Excel?

    Hi all
I don't know if it's possible or not, I want my excel spreadsheet that uses "Choose", "Index" & "Match" in it's calculations to open with Internet explorer with all it's functions intact.

I have attached my spreadsheet so that you might better understand what's involved. The reason i want it to open in IE is to hide all the formulas from my customers.

    Thanks in anticipation

I don't think running Excel inside the browser will necessarily prevent your formulas from being viewed.

    You could:
Turn on the hidden property of the cell and use worksheet protection to hide the formulas.
Turn off the formula bar in the workbook (and maybe column/row headers as well).
Hide the formula sheet and use a "front sheet" that displays the values of the formula sheet.
Example: cell A1 of Sheet2 is linked to another cell on sheet1: =Sheet1!A1
However, to open Excel in IE you only need to create a link pointing to the file location, making sure to provide the complete path and exact file name with extension.

    Re: Interactive Excel?

    Solved using

Highlight all cells on the sheet (click on the grey box above the 1 and to left of "A") ... press CTRL + 1 (format cells dialog) -on the Protection tab uncheck "Locked" checkbox. Now repeat the process but highlight only the Column you want to protect and reverse the "Locked" status - ie check the checkbox. Now protect the worksheet.

Many thanks to all for thier valuable time and patience.
