    Lookup Multiple Results

Hi there, I'm trying to get a formula but can't seem to work out which one I need.

Basically I need something that will lookup first the unique number of a unit then take the information contained on the second sheet and put it on the first.

Unfortunatly my work server doesn't let me upload attachments.

Each unique unit ID might have 1 or multiple pieces of information that I need putting on the first page, at the minute using a lookup formula I can only get it to show 1 of the peices of information.

Using a VLookup function kinda works, but it will only show 1 piece of information when there may be 3 for example, and often the last one, is it possible to get something that will show all pieces of information relating to the unique ID?

Sorry if it's a little unclear, I will try to upload something when I get home.

    Cheers

    Re: Lookup Multiple Results

No takers... well in truth I would say that without a file to illustrate your requirements it's hard to visualise what it is exactly you're intending to do. I appreciate you can not upload files from work but if at all possible it would make sense to upload a dummy file from home.

Failing that - post a follow up but be as detailed as possible in regard to sheet names, ranges etc and perhaps outline some possible values - where they are stored, how they should be reported etc..

Like Don said it would be hard without an example.

You said VLOOKUP works but only shows 1 value. Are you trying to get all the values in 1 cell?
Or a seperate cell for each corresponding match? If so a VLOOKUP in each cell for the result will do.
If you are wanting to add the resultant finds you can ADD VLOOKUPs =VLOOKUP(...)+VLOOKUP(...)+...
Or if you are wanting all the results in the same cell then use =VLOOKUP(...)&" "&VLOOKUP etc etc

Maybe this small "generic" example can give the T.S. some inspiration. For simplicity's sake i kept everything on one sheet.
