    Problems with copying formulas

    Hi
I am using MS Excel 2007 and normally im saving my spreadsheets in this format.

I have a HUGE problem with copying formulas - that is currently driving me crazy
I would be very grateful if somebody could help me. Normally I would consider myself to be a experienced Excel user, but I have never experienced anything like this before.

Actually my problem sounds quite simple but i really am not able to solve it myself.

I have som simple formulas that i want to copy horisontally with the fill handle.

In field D60 i want to calculate the following:
    =C$60*(1+$H$7)

and in the next cell to the right, in field E60 i want to calculate:
    =D$60*(1+$H$7)

and in the next cell to the right, in field F60 i want to calculate:
    =E$60*(1+$H$7)

and so on. Field H7 is a fixed value - hence the dollar-sign on both sides of H.

When i use the fill handle, Excel fills out the formulas correctly in the fields mentioned above, but in ALL horisontal fields to the right of D60 it calculates/repeats the value that is calculated in field D60 - and they should NOT be the same values.

It doesnt matter if i remove the $-sign to the right of: C60, D60 and E60 - i have the same problem anyhow.

I have tried to manually type the formulas in fields D60, E60, F60 and so on in stead of using the fill handle.
If I do that - Excel calculates the correct values - but the formula text is EXACTLY the same if I used the fill handle.

I have been thinking if the problem is due to the formatting of the cells - but I have tried formatting the cells as a %-cell, as a "number"-cell and so on - but still the same problem.

Its really frustrating - because i expect from Excel to calculate it the correct way - and what if this problem happens when I have more complicated formulas, that I´m not able to control?

I have a big exam coming up soon, where i have to use Excel and I really do not need this kind of problems now

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Excel Options > Formulas > Calculation Options, tick Automatic
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
