    Thnx for the response oldchippy, but I'm afraid I went through all the tutorials (and actually learned a few things) but found nothing referring to what I'm looking for.

    As a matter of fact I've been trying to use the tools I found under "All about Multiple Consolidated Ranges" in the link you posted and I've made some progress. However I'm still facing the problem that Excel only takes the first column on the left as a Row field, and every other one as Data. If I could change that I'd bee done.

    In other words, the first three columns in my files are meant to classify the information, hence they should be set in "Row" not as part of "Data"...Any ideas?
