    Question Permission Problems

I'm trying to give another user "read/write" permission to some of my files because of my continuing problems with Excel and it's freezing during Auto Recovery since I upgraded to Snow Leopard.

I've put them in my "public" folder and they can be accessed by the other person.

However, no matter what I do, the files don't come up anything but "read only."

I've added him on the permissions list for the folders and given him "read/write" but to no avail.

What the dickens am I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Hook

Is he trying to access the workbook at the same time as you?

If so you'd need to turn on sharing

He's not, but I'll put sharing on anyway and see what happens.

Thanks so much for the tip.
