Compare values in two columns and count how many meet the criteria

Hello,

What is the Excel formula to I compare values in two different columns and count the number that meets my criteria.

Example:
Column A
Y
Y
Y
Y
N
N
Column B
1
0
0
1
0
1
The criteria is I want to count how many Y's in column A have a corresponding 1 in column B on the same row. So in this example there are 2 Y's with 1's.

Just for further clarification. If Column A=Y and Column B=1 then count total Y's with 1's.
