I have a .csv file that I open, update and save using Excel 2007. I have one part number "10-1" that always auto formats to a date when I open the file (changes to "Oct-1"). I change formatting back to text and re-enter "10-1" and then save the file as a .csv and I'm assuming it saves it as "10-1" and not "Oct-1" but I can't tell because when I open it again...boom...changed to "Oct-1". It's just a huge inconvenience since I'm in this file all the time.

Is there a way to permanently turn that off in this document but leave it on for all my other documents? Can the column or cell be locked to text? Can the auto-format be turned off?

Please Advise!! Tips?
