    time worked

I need to specify what time to start summing from and specify summing the number of hours rested from the specified start time forward for a period of 24hours. eg 8.am 2-06-09 to 8am 3-06-09
The starting time has to be one of the times recorded in the colums "rested until".
    help please.

Perhaps ProtonLeah's post will resolve your query, I confess I'm not quite sure I understand the requirements.

On an aside you can use:

    N2: =SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(COLUMN(D2:M2),2)=0),MOD(D2:M2-C2:L2,1))
    copied down

    to calculate your worked hours

ProtonLeah Yes I could work with that format if it allows the calculations I am looking for.

protonLeah using your format how would I check for the total number of driving hours for the 24hour period 8.00 am 03-06-09 to 8.00am 04-06-09?
