Whilst attempting to open a buggy excel file, Excel did the whole 'not responding' > close down > Office will force Excel to close > send error report thing. This in itself is not a problem.

However, since this happend, the developer tab disappeared, and ticking the 'show developer tab in the ribbon' has zero effect - click ok and nothing happens. When I go to the same menu again, it is still unticked. I have run the office diagnostics (not expecting much from it, but miracles do happen!), and have rebooted my machine. I am still able to view VBA code using links added to the quicklaunch toolbar, but it still seems odd to me.

Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?
