    Possible IF Command??

    Ok Simply...

I have a list of numbers in column A
I have another set of numbers in column C
    And descriptions in column D

    A B C D
    1)1 blank 1 dog
    2)2 blank 2 cat
    3)3 blank 3 donkey
    4)4 blank 4 monkey

What do i want!? - I want a formula in Column B to say If A1=C1 then B1 = D1 'Dog', however i have a huge range with multiple of the same number in A1, but only one of the number in C1 which relates to a description in D, a range..

    Thanks in advance!

    Jon

    johhil, welcome to the Board.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Once we know what you're trying to do I will probably also ask you to modify your thread title accordingly.
