Excel 2003 - the Visual Basic editor window opens automatically

    Hi,

    In Excel 2003:

How do you avoid that the Visual Basic editor window opens
automatically each time you open Excel 2003?

I have a user that experiences that each time she opens Excel
it opens the Visual Basic editor window and starts debugging.

How does she get rid of that?
She has made no macros or the like.

    Thanks.

    Kind regards,
    Martin

Thank you for a quick reply.

I will have to ask the user tomorrow.

    Hi

    Here is a screen dump.
It opens no matter if she just opens Excel or
    she opens an Excel file.

    Kind regards,
    Martin

OK on the client in question in VBEditor go to Tools -> References - what is listed as MISSING ?
    (will appear in Caps)

Ok, so in Visual Basic Editor we go in Tools > References...
Where do we find the point MISSING ?

What do you mean by (will appear in Caps) ?
Do you mean capital letters / upper case letters ?

I suspect there is a Missing Library ... if you go to Tools -> References you will see a listing of the active libraries - towards the top of the listing you should hopefully see one along the lines of

    MISSING:name of library

The user gets "Access denied" when she tries to go
to Tools > Refeferences in the Visual basic editor.

Does Excel 2003 have a default template and what
is its file name? Can we try to delete it and crate
    a new?

I don't know how to solve this.
Maybe she needs to get a new profile?

    Kind regards,
    Martin

Can you post a screen shot of the error message "in action" ?
