    Insert rows automatically

    Hi

I have a form that has 30 rows where the user needs to input data. this is a general form and based on what risks an individual posses. as each person is different not all 30 rows are needed.

what i want is the form to be only as long as what is required e.g. 5 rows or 20 rows or 30 rows depending on how many risks are present. how can i insert a new row automatically if the above row has data entered it, thus the form will be generated as you go along and stopped when you are finished.

    thanks in advance
    John

If the file is not a shared workbook you might want to think about using XL2003's data list feature, plenty of info online - a good starting point:

    Re: Insert rows automatically

it is going to be a shared workbook. its going to be sent out to about 12 other units within my organisation. each manager will complete the risk assessment for each individual resident residing in the unit.

i want to be able to have a small document that is easy to send via email and then each manager will complete the form and make it as big or small as required. this size will depend on how many residents are in each unit and what level of risk each presents

thank u for your previous reply
