    Help with Midnight

    Hello,
I am having trouble with a timesheet I’m working on. Depending on the employee’s shift I need Excel to calculate the difference between midnight and a PM time or midnight and an AM time. I am looking for a formula that will return a positive value whether the time is AM or PM.
    Thanks,
    Marc

    Re: Help with Midnight

Not entirely clear but assuming shift duration never exceeds a total of 24 hours then

    =MOD(endtime-starttime,1)
    format to time

which will work regardless of midnight being crossed.
