    Conditional Formatting "Shading"

I have a unique issue. I am trying to set up a conditional format that states if a cells value is "0" then shade a certain color. The problem I am running into is that if the cell is blank Excell is treating it as a "0" value.

How do I set it up so that if the cell is blank then it is not shaded, but if the value "0" is entered then it shades?

    Thanks to anyone that replies.

    Use

Formula Is option and enter formula like:

    =AND(A1=0,A1<>"")

where A1 is top-left most cell in your selection to colour.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

The CF formula should test for both conditions:

    =AND(NOT(ISBLANK(A1)), A1=0)
