Bar graph won't change colors

I have a bar graph in Excel 2007. Each bar is made up of two data series henece two different colors.

I want to change the colors of the data series. I go through the steps and pick a new color. However, it won't change. It leave each the same as before. Any ideas why it would do this??

You are changing the fill and not the border of the bars?

No offence if this is obvious to you - you never know what's wrong.

No offense taken. I am changing the fill but it just won't do it. Very strange. Appreciate the help
