Note that we start the week with a monday.

Exactly my point. Your solution is 48 where mine is 47. MS WEEKNUM() is according USA.

That's not the point. It's more about: if the first day of the year is, say, a Wednesday, is that "half week" treated as week 1 or week 0? That's what different countries do in a different way. Some count the first "full" week as week 1 only, others regard the week with the 1/Jan as week 1Here our week starts from Sunday
