help pls with formatting multiple cells

Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet made up of 3 columns and 2219 rows of data. The columns are A1 - NAME, A2 - LONGITUDE, A3 - LATITUDE. I have recently purchased a new GPS and I'd like to convert the format of my existing waypoints to the format as used by my new GPS.

My question: Can some kind soul please tell me a formula (so that I can copy it down the sheet) to convert this 002 44.311 W to this 244.311. Notice that the 00 has been removed, the space between the 2 and the 4 removed and also the space and the 'w' after the last number has been removed.

I'd be most greatful for any help in resolving my issue fully or in part!
