Need help with formulas for a spreadsheet based on price comparison

    Hey guys,

Would really appreciate some basic formula advice. I am doing a project and the data looks like this:

    Shop A Shop B Shop C Shop D
    Product 1 5 5 5.25 4.95
    Product 2 21 21.22 20.99 25.30
    Product 3
    Product 4
    Product 5

etc and its a v long spreadsheet.
I need formulas to work out:
    1) On how many products Shop A is beaten on price
    2) Which Shop is beating it the most
    3) On average is Shop A cheaper than the rest?
    4) When Shop A is cheaper, how much cheaper is it than the next lowest.

I would appreciate help so much!

    Thank you

    JD

Re: Any help with formulas would be much appreciated

It is a project for my company - I suppose I had exaggerated my Excel knowledge.

So far I have managed to do the first bit. i.e. I have used an IF formula to work out how many times the first shop is beaten on price.

I'm struggling to find a way to find out by how much cheaper it is when it is cheaper.

Will upload as soon as I get home.
