Organizing

Say i have two columns. The first column is filled with names and the second column is filled with the gender of the names in the first column.
example:
john M
mary F
Jack M
Fred M
Nick M
Ali F
Now i want to setup two columns next to these ones. The first column would be titled M and list all the male names. The second column would be titled F and list all the F names. Is there a formula that will automatically do this wihtout having to use a filter?

i know i can do it that way but i gotta press ctrl+alt+l everytime to update it and it seems clunky to me. i was curious if a formula would do it?
