    Filters

    Hi,

I use Excel 2007 for bookeeping, on my columns I can only get the filters to select up to row 301 even though my rows go to 442. I have tried to use the advanced filter option and change the rows to be selected but when I click OK my filters disappear.

They are working on all my other spreadsheets, whats going wrong and how do I fix it??

    Thanks in anticipation

    Howard

    Re: Filters

Are then any empty rows in your data set?

Can you post example workbook. Changeing any confidential data to random text/numbers. Just as long as the problem persists.

    Re: Filters

There are but that's normal, as I have to leave gaps for total columns. I can't really post the workbook as there is too much data to change.

    Re: Filters

If there are gaps in your records then you will need to select the complete range before applying filtering otherwise excel will use CurrentRegion.

    Example.

    A1: =Data
    A2: =1
    A3: <blank>
    A4: =2

If you apply filter with active cell being A1 only the value 1 will appear.

Remove filter and select range A1:A4. Apply filter again to see 1 and 2 appear.

    Re: Filters

Andy you are a genius I had my filters above a static line and hadn't selected all rows before setting them.

    Thank You so much
