    Multiple conditional formats

I've trawled the fora but can't find a similar thread, so am posting this - apologies if it's a duplicate!

In Excel 2007 I want to apply multiple conditional formats to cellse.g.

    If A1 = "A" then <fill cells A2:A12 with red colour>
    If A1 = "B" then <fill cells A2:A12 with green colour>
    If A1 = "C" then <fill cells A2:A12 with blue colour>

This was easy in Excel 2003 by simply adding a format (to a maximum of 3 formats), but I just can't fathom how to do it in Excel 2007 - all help gratefully received!

    Re: Multiple conditional formats

Thanks ChemistB - that works - it just wasn't obvious because 2007 doesn't show all the rules for a cell, or overtly allow you to add rules whilst seeing existing rules - or at least if it does I can't see how to do it! - thanks again - PROBLEM SOLVED
