Timeline

is there a way to do a timeline in excel, i want the line to be flat and insert dates at certain points in the line?

Could you try to be more clear about what you mean by time line?
Are you trying to create a chart based on dates, etc.?

A better description and even a sample workbook depicting your desired result would be helpful.

Figure it out I used a template creating a timeline using an XY chart......
