    stop auto date conversion...

    How do stop the sheet from automaticly changing a text string into a date, when I paste into a cell? it is annoying...

    I tried that, but it keeps changing back for some reason. Is there a way I can disable the auto-formating? Or something like that.....

    Paste Special as Text (after formatting the cell as text).
    Alternately, before pasting, type ' and then paste

    substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires
